Welcome to Criterio. By accessing or using our AI-powered academic workspace ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Academic Integrity & Ethics

Criterio is designed as a learning aid, brainstorming tool, and structural guide for academic assignments. It is not an essay-writing service or a replacement for original student effort.

  • You are solely responsible for ensuring that your final submissions comply with your university's specific policies on plagiarism and the use of AI tools.
  • You agree not to use Criterio to generate work that you falsely present as entirely your own written work for grading.
  • Criterio assumes no liability for disciplinary actions taken by educational institutions against users who misuse the Service.

3. AI Accuracy and Limitations

While our models are specifically tuned for analyzing assignment briefs and grading matrices (like BTEC), artificial intelligence can occasionally hallucinate or provide inaccurate mapping.

You must independently verify that all extracted criteria, learning outcomes, and technical requirements accurately reflect your original assignment brief before acting upon them.

4. User Accounts & Security

To use Criterio, you must create an account. You must explicitly be 13 years of age or older to use this service.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials (handled via Email/OTP or OAuth providers). Account sharing is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension.

5. Intellectual Property

Criterio retains all rights, title, and interest in the platform's code, design, logos, and underlying AI extraction methodologies.

However, you retain all ownership of the content you input (assignment briefs) and the original written content you produce within the Criterio workspace. We do not claim ownership of your drafts or course materials.

6. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (including pricing plans and available AI models) with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party should we exercise such right.
